I am preparing for a trip to Wales this fall, and this book was mentioned by Rick Steves, so I ordered it. It is not a book you speed-read, but rather one you linger over and read a few pages a day. If anything has prepared me about the soul of Wales, it is this one. It's well written and incredibly thorough in it's information. I am also substantially Welsh by ancestry, so it was very interesting to me to read this history/summary of all its people have gone through, which is sad at times. But this little country has triumphed, and the red flag of the dragon soars! Thanks to the author for this accomplishment in writing.
