With R3 (rapid-rigid-ratcheted) technology, this brace provides circumferential tibia/fibula compression. The rigid uprights provide extra protection to your ankle during impact. The donjoy velocity ankle brace is available in three models. The ES model offers extra support and rigidity, the MS represents moderate support, and the LS offers light support.

Fantastic brace with great support on both sides (medial and lateral). Using the brace coming off a major ankle sprain/tears...allows me to now walk with a shoe instead of a walking boot. I've have lighter support and figure 8 braces, but this Velocity ES brace is my favorite hands down and provides the extra support I need. Recommended by my physical therapist. And now recommended by me (also a therapist!). Price is much cheaper than the medical supply stores. Easy instructions to fit yourself. Make sure you wear it a bit at a time to brake it in...may feel a bit tight/rigid at first until your body adapts. I did not need to mold this with a heat gun. Got a small (take size 8.5 shoe). Required shoes half a size bigger to fit brace comfortably (and took out insole of shoe the brace is worn in). Very happy with this product.This brace offered a lot of support which I loved! BUT the bottom is one huge, hard piece of plastic so it felt like walking barefoot on concrete all day. It also just kind of dug in everywhere. Unfortunately at the end of the day I feel like it hurt more than it helped.Good product. Had tendon surgery on ankle and this was good to keep ankle stable.Great brace- it fits me so much better than what the doctor wanted me to wear (aircast). I love that I can change the level of support by removing the rap if it gets to be too much.Wasn't made for large calf. And was to bulky to put in my shoes.
