This backpack is the best one I've ever owned. We bought one for me and one for my wife.I love the compartments (size and quantity are perfect). The zippers are top quality and properly sized. The fabric and stitching are ultra durable. The MOLLE straps are just the right stiffness, quantity, and placement. The detachable hand bag (or fanny pack) at the bottom is great for the short distance essentials, including a small first aid kit. The sternum strap can be moved up and down enough to accommodate more comfortable placement for female anatomy.The tops of the shoulder straps are adjustable enough that we can make it rest all the weight on the hip belt for me at 6 foot and my wife at 5 foot 6 inches. It also has a stiffener going up the area that contacts your back, which is also essential for transferring the load to the hip belt. Getting the weight to ride on the hip-belt and not your shoulders is imperative for carrying any significant weight for any significant distance.
