Had various rips in our window screens as we had own the house for 8 years and haven't done them. Wanted greater protection against small nats, so went with this and pleased with the quality compared to original screen. Looks darker from the exterior when looking at the house which I am hoping will help block some sun. However, from the interior it does not look any darker than before.
